andallaroundthefountainbrinkwerespread
widebranchingtrees,withdarkgreenleafrichclad,
formingadoubtfultwilight-desolateandsad.
theplacewassuch,thatwhosoenter'din
disrobedwasofeveryearthlythought,
andstraightbecameasonethatknewnotsin,
ortotheworld'sfirstinnocencewasbrought;
enseem'ditnow,hestoodonholyground,
insweetandtendermelancholywraptaround.

longtimeistood,andlongerhadistaid,
