dearsir—mrs.collierhasbeenkindenoughtosaythatyouwouldendeavourtoprocureareporter'ssituationforw.hazlitt.iwenttoconsulthimuponitlastnight,andheaccededveryeagerlytotheproposal,andrequestsmetosayhowverymuchobligedhefeelstoyourkindness,andhowgladheshouldbeforitsess.heis,indeed,athiswits'endforalivelihood;and,ishouldthink,especiallyqualifiedforsuchanemployment,fromhissingularfacilityinretainingallconversationsatwhichhehasbeeneverpresent.ithinkyoumayrecommendhimwithconfidence.iamsureishallmyselfbeobligedtoyouforyourexertions,havingagreatregardforhim.
