thefeveroflifeisstilled,andallstainsarewashedaway;

whenisitinthemidstofthatworld.

harktotheunstruckbellsanddrums!takeyourdelightinlove!

rainspourdownwithoutwater,andtheriversarestreamsof

light.

oneloveitisthatpervadesthewholeworld,fewtherearewho

knowitfully:

theyareblindwhohopetoseeitbythelightofreason,that

reasonwhichisthecauseofseparation—

thehouseofreasonisveryfaraway!

howblessediskabîr,thatamidstthisgreatjoyhesingswithin

hisownvessel.

itisthemusicofthemeetingofsoulwithsoul;

itisthemusicoftheforgettingofsorrows;

itisthemusicthattranscendsallcominginandallgoing

forth.
