norwithunwillingearattend
themoralisingmuse.
sincethou,inallthyyouthandcharms,
mustbidtheworldadieu,
(aworld'gainstpeaceinconstantarms)
tojointhefriendlyfew.
since,thygaymornoflifeo'ercast,
chillcamethetempest'slour;
(andne'ermisfortune'seasternblast
didnipafairerflower.)
sincelife'sgayscenesmustcharmnomore,
stillmuchisleftbehind,
stillnoblerwealthhastthouinstore—
thecomfortsofthemind!
thineistheself-approvingglow,
