“thereismuchnoise,”pablo’svoicesaid.“shutup,gypsy.”

“yes,”heheardthewoman’svoice.“thereistoomuchnoise.youcouldcalltheguardiacivilwiththatvoiceandstillithasnoquality.”

“iknowanotherverse,”thegypsysaidandtheguitarcommenced

“yes,rafael,”hesaid.heknewthegypsyhadbeenaffectedbythewinefromhisvoice.hehimselfhaddrunkthetwoabsinthesandsomewinebuthisheadwasclearandcoldfromthestrainofthedifficultywithpablo.
