inoldtimes,thereseemtohaveprevailedthemostcuriousfanciesconcerningtheseblinds.onevoyagerinpurchascallsthemthewondrous"whiskers"insideofthewhale'smouth;[1]another,"hogs'bristles";athirdoldgentlemaninhackluytusesthefollowingelegantlanguage:"thereareabouttwohundredandfiftyfingrowingoneachsideofhisupperchop,whicharchoverhistongueoneachsideofhismouth."
