第八十章《辜鸿铭讲论语》（19）
微子第十八（一）
微子152去之，箕子153为之奴，比干154谏而死。孔子曰：“殷有三仁焉。”
辜译
atthetimeofthedownfalloftheimperialyindynasty（theoneprecedingthatunderwhichconfuciuslived）ofthethreemembersoftheimperialfamily,oneleftthecountry；onebecameacourtjester；andone,whospokethetruthtotheemperor,wasputtodeath.
confucius,remarkingontheabove,said，“thehouseofyinintheirlastdayshadthreemenofmoralcharacter.”
当殷朝衰败的时候，王室的三位成员微子离开了国家，箕子做了奴隶，比干因为屡次强谏激怒纣王而被杀。孔子说：“这是殷朝的三位仁者啊！”（微子据说是孔子的远祖。）
（二）
柳下惠为士师，三黜。人曰：“子未可以去乎？”曰：“直道而事人，焉往而不三黜？枉道而事人，何必去父母之邦？”

孔子评价当时一位杰出人士柳下惠时说：“他作为典狱官，三次被撤职。有人对他说：‘你不可以离开鲁国吗？’柳下惠说：‘正直地侍奉君主，去哪里不会被撤职呢？如果不正直地侍奉君主，为什么非要离开自己的国家呢？’”
（三）
齐景公待孔子曰：“若季氏，则吾不熊；以季、孟之间待之。”曰：“吾老矣，不能用也。”孔子行。
辜译

有一次，齐国在位的君主齐景公想聘用孔子，但是却说：“我不能让他做部长（即鲁君对待季氏的待遇），但是可以让他当我的私人顾问。”他又继续说：“我已老了，不能采纳他的建议了。”孔子听到这些话之后，离开了这个国家。
（四）
齐人归女乐，季桓子受之，三日不朝。孔子行。

孔子担任鲁国司法部长以后，有一次掌握政府大权的季桓子接受了齐国赠送的一些歌女，并成天和她们待在一起，连着三天没有上朝。于是孔子辞职，离开了自己的国家。
（五）
楚狂接舆155歌而过孔子曰：“凤兮凤兮！何德之衰？往者不可谏，来者犹可追。已而已而！今之从政者殆而！”孔子下，欲与之言。趋而辟之，不得与之言。

“ophoenixbird！ophoenixbird，
whereisthegloryofyourprime?
thepast,itisuselessnowtochange，
careforthefutureyetistime.

confuciusthenalightedandwishedtospeakwithhim；buttheeccentricmanhastenedawaysothatconfuciushadnochanceofspeakingwithhim.
有一次，孔子在周游列国的时候，一位楚国的狂人接舆唱着歌经过孔子的车。他唱道：
“凤凰啊，凤凰！
你的德运怎么这么衰弱？
过去的已经不可挽回，
未来的还来得及改正。
算了吧，算了吧！
今天的达官贵人们，
你们的危险紧相连！”
孔子听到后很高兴，想同这个人交谈。但是这个人却赶快避开，孔子没能和他说上话。
（六）
长沮、桀溺156耦而耕。孔子过之，使子路问津焉。长沮曰：“夫执舆者为谁？”子路曰：“为孔丘。”曰：“是鲁孔丘与？”曰：“是也。”曰：“是知津矣。”问于桀溺。桀溺曰：“子为谁？”曰：“为仲由。”曰：“是孔丘之徒与？”对曰：“然。”曰：“滔滔者天下皆是也，而谁以易之？且而与其从辟人之士也，岂若从辟世之士哉？”耰而不辍。子路行以告。夫子怃然曰：“鸟兽不可与同群，吾非斯人之徒与而谁与？天下有道，丘不与易也。”
